How do blind people dream?

I have never though about how a blind person might dream. Think about that. If you were born blind, would you "see" anything in your dreams. If you became blind during your life sometime I would imagine you would "see" in your dreams but how about the person who has been blind all their life? I am sure there is research about this but what an interesting question to contemplate. That's my thought of the day.

  1. I have actually asked this same question to myself before and have wondered the same thing... Here is an excerpt from an article I read. There are many many articles about this and I first thought of it while watching a movie where they asked a blind guy this question.

"This is an interesting question -- and one that piques more than just human curiosity. There have a been a couple of academic studies made
on precisely this subject, particularly amongst those concerned with developmental psychology, and the general conclusion is that people who have been blind from birth, or from a very young age, tend to have no visual component to their dreams."
